Sammamish Theatre Arts ProgramThe Sammamish High School Theatre Arts Program is a creative community built on a foundation of trust to foster self-reliance and support continuous improvement. Students participating in drama classes and the theater program at Sammamish High School put on theatre productions for the public each year, compete at Regional and State Thespian Festivals, and actively serve the community through Thespian Troupe #2241. In 2022-2023, the Theater troupes plan to put on two shows, a fall play and a spring musical.
Through theatre, students cultivate the following core values:
Classes include Acting Workshop, Technical Theatre, Theatre Workshop, and Theatre Production. Performances are in the Sammamish High School Performing Arts Center. In the past, the SPAB organization has provided support for students to attend the Regional and State Thespian Festivals. Donations to SPAB will be used toward these goals by providing individual coaching to students on performances and technical projects and helping support our orchestral integration into the musical.
